Suzanne Lawrence
Where town and country meet 🌲
Introduction
Suzanne Lawrence is a realtor in Creemore, Ontario who was looking for a website redesign and brand refresh. We worked with Jack & Sparrow (a local designer) to accomplish this task. J&S developed the logo and colour scheme, we got to work on the website and all of it’s features. This is that story.
Old showcase
This project was completed in 2021! We like to showcase some older websites that we’ve made to show the timeless nature of our design styles 😉 But first, here is a video of her website before we got our hands on it.
And now, for our redesign. As with any project, the first thing we do is design the homepage. From there we work with the client to ensure that the design is exactly what they’re looking for.
For a bit of the behind the scenes of what goes into designing these pages. Take a look at this screenshot design board before. All of this happens before we even begin to code.

Every site presents it’s own unique set of needs. For Suzanne, it was create a page for her listings that is more user friendly than Realtor.ca. To achieve this we used a WordPress suite of plugins called Crocoblocks. It’s basically a superset of features that allow us to create very intricate websites without needing to custom code each feature.
Take a look at the search page and the individual property page below.
We’re not a fan of unnecessary subscriptions. Many developers opt for the “Elementor Pro” route (Elementor is a page builder for WordPress, the pro version is a monthly/annual subscription). Instead, we purchased a lifetime subscription to Crocoblocks and all of our projects get access to that same lifetime subscription. A small savings, but a savings nonetheless ($99 USD/year saved not needing Elementor Pro. The per use basis of Crocoblocks is $199 USD/year, but again we have a lifetime license just so that our clients don’t have to pay these fees).
For some extra juice, enjoy the snazzy menus that we made for this project. We always make a separate contact page (for SEO purposes). However, it’s nice to also have a contact us form on every page, and how better to do that than with a flyout?
